What is towny? Towny is a gamemode that revolves around earning money, building a great town, and achieving the highest possible in-game rank. Its player-based economy and town-building focus foster a strong community with many towns, shops, and more to explore!
What is town? A town is an area of claimed land where you can build and set permission to avoid being griefed. Each town is made of plots that can be claimed by town members. You can join an existing town by asking in chat for an invite. Alternatively, if you have the servant in-game rank, have enough money, and are in the overworld, you can create your own town using /t new.
What are ranks? Ranks are classifications that give players certain abilities. There are two types of ranks: in-game ranks and donor ranks. In-game ranks can be purchased by using in-game money (/ranks in game for more information). To rank up your in-game rank, using /rankup (/ru). Donor ranks are purchased using real-life money and can be both viewed and purchased at MineSuperior Store (https://store.minesuperior.net/).
How can I make money? The primary way to make money is with jobs. You can view the different types of jobs using /jobs browse. Once you have decided which job to join, right click the job or use /jobs join (job). All new players can join up to two jobs. Aside from jobs, there are many other methods of earning money such as selling to existing player shops or setting up your own.
How can I get started? First, read the server rules using /rules and familiarize yourself with them. Then, use /ow to start exploring! From there you can either join/create a town or join a job to start making money/ranking up. From there the choice is yours! There is not a specific goal to towny so whether you want to become the wealthiest player or reach the highest rank, the choice is yours.
How can I learn more? Its always worth asking any questions you have in chat on the server, odds are someone from the community can help out!
